Dieng stands on about 2,000m above sea level, temperature is between 12°-20°C during the day 6°-10°C during the night. In dry season (July-August), sometimes the temperature even reaches 0°C in the morning, and this drives the formation of what the local people call "bun upas" (poisonous dews) for these dews destroy farming plants.
